Danbury High's Athletic Department Earns Top Honor From Fciac

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury High School's athletic department was recently awarded the FCIAC Cup as the "Top Large School Athletic Program."

The award was given at the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference's annual awards banquet in Norwalk on Tuesday, June 14. 

Retiring boys' golf coach Jim Tierney received a Gold Pass as a Life Member of FCIAC. 

Bill Kersten, coach of the boys' lacrosse team, and Nick Fraticelli, coach of the girls' track team, received "Coach of the Year" honors. 

Chip Salvestrini, Danbury High School's athletic director, was inducted into the FCIAC Hall of Fame.
