Danbury's Cal Ripken Baseball Hits Up Fundraisers For World Series Trip

DANBURY, Conn. -- Fundraisers are planned over the next few days for the Danbury Cal Ripken 12-year-old All-Stars as they prepare for a trip to the Cal Ripken World Series next week in Aberdeen, Md.

On Saturday, Aug. 2, 1st and 10 Sports Bar and Grill in New Milford will donate 10 percent of all proceeds to the team for dinners purchased between 5 and 8 p.m.

On Sunday, a car wash will be held at Nejame and Sons at 91 South St. in Danbury from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. to help the team.

On Monday, Max Spirits at 40 Mill Plain Road in Danbury will host a Wine Class Tasting Tour of Italy from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $15 and space is limited. Guests should RSVP.
