The Capital One Academic All-District teams are chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their performances both athletically and academically. Boggan was chosen in Academic All-District in District 4, which includes all NCAA Division III institutions in Pennsylvania.
Boggan, a senior counseling and human services major with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.8, has been a standout on the court for the Lady Royals, who are 14-6. She’s averaging 11.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game this season, and is second on the team in field goal percentage at 42.4 percent and second in blocks with 18.
A two-year starter for Scranton, Boggan has averaged 10.7 points and 7.5 rebounds in 44 games since joining the Lady Royals last season. She spent her first two years at Gardner-Webb, an NCAA Division I institution in Boiling Springs, N.C.
