Smith led the Stags to a 3-0 week and their longest winning streak of the season.

“Casey had another strong week for us,” head coach Joe Frager said. “She played a key role in our three victories.”

Smith averaged double figures with 10 points per game in Fairfield’s 3-0 week. Smith generated the energy for the Stags by scoring the first six points for Fairfield in the upset win at MAAC dynasty Marist. Smith was also the leading scorer with 13 points against Saint Peter’s, a game where she shot 50 percent from the floor and grabbed seven boards.

Smith made a circus reverse no-look layup against Rider, which gave the Stags breathing room against Rider. Up by three at the time, the Stags were able to increase their lead to six after the three-point play. Smith also averaged 5.3 boards and had a career-high five assists against the Broncs.

Smith is averaging 12.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game for the Stags.

The Stags will try to win their fourth-straight game when they travel to in-state rival and league leader Quinnipiac on Thursday. The game will be featured on ESPN3 with the game starting at 5 p.m.
