Smith, a senior, was named third-team All-MAAC. Teammate Kelsey Carey was named All-MAAC first team.

Smith scored a career-high 12.3 points per game and grabbed 6.0 rebounds per game, also a career high. She scored the game-winning basket in a game against Loyola in January and scored 14 second half points in a victory over Niagara in late January.

Fairfield is 16-13 overall and 13-7 in the MAAC. The Stags will play the winner of a game between Marist and St. Peter’s on Saturday in its first MAAC Tournament game. Fairfield enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed behind Quinnipiac and Rider.
