Girls Offered Free Soccer Clinics At Danbury's Wooster School

DANBURY, Conn. — Wooster School is holding free girls' soccer clinics this summer.

There will be four clinics at Wooster School's Wilson Field.

Coaches Catherine Plummer and Elizabeth Higgins will conduct clinics on the school's Wilson Field. These free clinics are open to all and will have an emphasis on children having fun, while building soccer skills.

Each clinic will have a specific focus and age group.

Clinic 1 focus: Basic Skills -- receiving, passing, shooting. Grades: Girls entering grades 3-5. Date: Saturday, July 11. Time: 9-11:30 a.m.

Clinic 2 focus: Receiving, passing, shooting. Grades: Girls entering grades 8-12. Date: Friday, July 24. Time: 6-8:30 p.m.

Clinic 3 focus: Skills and development -- dribbling, passing, shooting. Grades: Girls entering grades 6-8. Date: Saturday, Aug. 8. Time: 9-11:30 a.m.

Clinic 4 focus: Soccer games - groups by age. Grades: Girls entering grades 4-12. Date: Thursday, Aug. 20. Time: 6-8 p.m.
