New Fairfield High Grad Signs With NY Jets

NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- A New Fairfield High School graduate has just signed with the New York Jets.

The Jets announced the signing of defensive lineman Jake Ceresna, 22, on its website.

Ceresna, who is 6-foot-5 and weighs 285 pounds, was a student at State University of New York, Cortland, where the Jets held their training camp for five summers through 2014.

Transferring from Southern Connecticut State University in 2013, Ceresna had 22 starts and 14 sacks his last two seasons at Cortland.

He received an invitation to the Kansas City Chiefs' rookie camp after the draft and then spent time with the Ottawa Redblacks in the Canadian Football League, according to newyorkjets.com.
