A crash that initially took out the left lane caused gridlock on a stretch of I-84 during much of the Monday evening commute.
The incident occurred on the eastbound side at Lime Kiln Road (Exit 15) in Hopewell Junction, with stop-and-go traffic backed up to Route 9 (Exit 13).
Delays of up to 30 minutes were reported before the lane reopened.
