Danbury Library Teams Up With Score To Help Small Businesses

DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Library -- in partnership with SCORE, Savings Bank of Danbury, CityCenter Danbury, Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce and the Danbury Hackerspace -- will host a free, five-part workshop series for those interested in learning how to start their own business.

The workshops will be conducted by a team of professionals from SCORE’s Fairfield and Western Connecticut chapters.

The workshops will be conducted by a team of professionals from SCORE’s Fairfield and Western Connecticut chapters and held at the Danbury Library on Thursdays, Oct. 13, 20, 27 and Nov. 10 and 17, from 6-8:30 p.m.

Registrants are expected to attend all five sessions and will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the series.

The workshop titles, in consecutive order, will be the following:

  • Self-Assessment/Business Plan.
  • Marketing Strategy & Research.
  • Website and Social Media Marketing.
  • Financial Reporting & Planning.
  • Funding Sources/Conversations with Entrepreneurs.

The workshop series is free. Registration is required online at danburylibrary.org, westernconnecticut.score.org or by calling the library at 203-797-4527.
