Common Ground's Acting Workshop In Danbury Focuses On Shape-Shifting

DANBURY, Conn. – A Common Ground Community Arts Center is hosting “Acting: The Art & Magic of Shape-Shifting” with Sheri Bresson on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. at 33 Crosby Street, Danbury.

Participants in the class will learn the principles needed for good acting, such as how to:

  • Be present, relaxed and powerful in front of others
  • Access your own creative brilliance and express yourself completely
  • Move past fear and resistance
  • "Land" from a character/piece/play, and why it is so important

All are welcome. This class is valuable to actors, performers, writers who wish to read their work aloud and those wishing to feel more confident when speaking in front of others. Attendees should bring something to work on, such as a monologue, song, story, poem, etc., preferably committed to memory.
