As members and songwriters of one of the region's well-known folk bands, Sans Cherubs, they have shared the stage with artists ranging from The Violent Femnes and Eric Burdon to Catie Curtis and Melissa Ferrick.

Cahill was a recent choice for the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival's emerging artists. Collaborating as songwriters and musicians for over 25 years and most of their musical careers, Cahill and Higgins present their polished portfolio of songs without taking themselves too seriously.

The coffeehouse takes place at A Common Ground community arts center at 33 Crosby St. Doors open at 7:30. The open mic starts at 8, and the featured performers follow. Admission is by free-will donation, and there are refreshments available for purchase.

All proceeds benefit Danbury Arts in Action, a local organization providing arts instruction and mentoring to at-risk youth in the community. For more information, call 203-791-9850 or visit www.acommonground.net.
