DANBURY, Conn. — The popular Independence Day fireworks show scheduled for Friday at the Danbury Fair mall has been postponed due a forecast for fireworks of another kind.
The forecast for Friday evening calls for rain and thunderstorms with heavy lightning. And the area is under a tornado watch on Friday afternoon.
Instead, the show at the mall will be on Saturday, July 2, with the fireworks starting at about dusk.
A live music show will begin at 6 p.m. featuring a band from Western Connecticut State University, and later, a Top 40 coverband starting at 8 p.m.
