League of Women Voters Hosts Art Auction In Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The League of Women Voters will hold an art auction featuring a painting by Ridgefield artist Rachel Volpone on Tuesday, May 10 at Sarah's Wine Bar.

Rachel Volpone's painting "Sea-Blue," will be raffled off to benefit the League of Women Voters during an event on May 10 at Sarah's Wine Bar. Until the raffle, the painting can be viewed in the wine bar's gallery.

The painting, "Sea-Blue," will be raffled off during the event, and is on display in the wine bar's gallery until then. Sarah's supports the local arts by featuring musicians Wednesday through Saturday nights and hosting the Jazz Masters Series every month. In addition, every three months Sarah’s features a different local artist's work.

Volpoine said she was happy to offer her painting on behalf of the League of Women Voters as her grandfather was an early advocate for equal rights for women.

Sarah’s Wine Bar is a part of Bernard’s Restaurant, 20 West Lane, Ridgefield.
