The classic program features highlights from Tchaikovsky’s beloved “Nutcracker Suite” and Strauss’ “Tales of the Vienna Woods.”

“The holiday season is such a special time in Bridgeport,” said Conductor Eric Jacobsen. “The Klein will be filled to the rafters with joyful people and joyful music.”

World-renowned concert cellist Allison Eldredge will appear with two young protégés from Young Talent Chamber Music, a group she founded with her mother, Yoshie Akimoto.

Ten-year-old pianist Hudson Ragins from Yonkers, N.Y., and 12-year-old violinist Zoe Lonsinger of Newtown, Conn., both of whom have won international prizes, will join Eldredge for part of “The Nutcracker.”

In addition to the beloved Christmas classic, the symphony will take on Tchaikovsky’s “Fifth Symphony.”

“There will be plenty of music to sing along with as well,” said Jacobsen.  “We’re going to have a lot of fun!”
