DANBURY, Conn. -- Who can resist the cozy booth of a diner? If you’re not drawn in by the often retro ambiance, you’re no doubt driven by the menu, mammoth undertakings filled with pages and pages of comfort food, not to mention unlimited cups of coffee.

Known For: It's homey atmosphere and 'Life is Good' mentality. Owner Elmer Palma says the 24/7 restaurant never cuts corners, with food that is always prepared with the freshest and the most organic produce. Family-style portions are a big draw as the large variety of options.

Behind the Scenes: Palma does all he can to make his staff and customers feel comfortable. There's even a sign reminding guests to "tour the facilities," along with another that proclaims "God Bless America."
