Danbury Nanny Charged With Burning Child Is Pregnant, Seeks Lower Bond

DANBURY, Conn. – The Danbury nanny who is charged with burning and beating a 3-year-old girl she was babysitting in March has asked for a lower bail because she is pregnant, reports News-Times.com.

The attorney for Lidia Quilligana, 31, asked a judge to lower her $1 million bail to $100,000 so that she can receive medical treatment, according to the report.

A nanny-cam recorded Quilligana intentionally burning the child’s hands and leg, resulting in second-degree burns March 27, police said.
