A tree branch took out a primary power line in Easton in the area of Delaware Road near Asmara Way and Old Sport Hill Parkway late on Wednesday afternoon, leaving some Easton and other Fairfield County residents without power.

The branch left some in the dark and tied up traffic in the area as utility crews cleaned up the scene under the watchful eye of the Easton Police Department. The power has since been restored, but several were without electricity for several hours. As of Thursday afternoon, a handful of customers in Wilton and Ridgefield were reporting outages for separate incidents.
