A quick response from the Danbury Fire Department resulted in a happy ending to what had been a scary situation.
Fire Department Lt. Nick Cabral distracted a young girl as other firefighters worked to unlock the door of her mother's minivan that she was locked inside of Saturday.
"Seemed that little Samantha pushed the lock button as her mother was getting into a different door at a public park," reported the fire department.
Engine 22 unlocked the car, and there was no harm to the child.
