DANBURY, Conn. - Clementina Magliaro of Danbury died Sept. 5. She was 88.
Magliaro was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Pratola Serra, Avellino, Italy. She was the daughter of Francesco and Antoinetta (DePalma) Morlando. Following her marriage, she settled in Danbury, and was a parishioner of St. Peter Church, Danbury.
Magliaro is survived by her sons, Antonio (Sandro) Magliaro of Okla., Gerard Magliaro (Sindi); daughter, Marie (Magliaro) Jowdy (James); son-in-law, Charles Van Zanten; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sister, Carmela Fabrizio; and many nieces and nephews all of Italy. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Dominic Magliaro Sr.; son, Dominic Magliaro Jr.; daughter, Frances (Magliaro) Van Zanten; and brothers, Giuseppe, Gerardo, and Antonio Morlando.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8 at St. Peter Church, Danbury, with the Reverend Gregg Mecca, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Dominic Magliaro Jr. Educational Scholarship Trust Fund, c/o Union Savings Bank, 226 Main St., Danbury.
