Marion H. Ferris, 92, Worked As A Phlebotomist In Danbury Hospital

MONROE, Conn. - Marion Hyde Ferris of Monroe died Sunday, Jan. 5. She was 92.

Ferris was born in Bridgeport and raised in Stratford, and was a longtime Monroe resident. She retired from Danbury Hospital where she worked as a phlebotomist. She was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church and enjoyed the Women's Sewing Club.

Ferris is survived by her daughters, Judith Bosco and Kathleen Griffin; sons, Alan and Robert Ferris; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George F. Ferris; sons, Richard and George; daughter, Carol Ann; and grandson, David Bosco.

Calling hours are Friday, Jan. 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home , Main St., and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. meeting directly in the United Methodist Church of Monroe with Pastor Martha Epstein officiating. Interment will follow in East Village Cemetery, Monroe.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ferris’ memory may be made to the United Methodist Church of Monroe , 515 Cutlers Farm Road, Monroe, CT 06468.
