Michael F. Ross, 87, Of Danbury, Owned Industrial Catering Service

DANBURY, Conn. - Michael (Mickey) F. Ross of Danbury died Thursday, Feb. 6. He was 87.

Ross was born Oct. 8, 1926, in Danbury; son of Frank C., and Mary E. Stavola Ross. He attended St. Joseph School in Danbury and was a lifelong member of the Danbury community. He owned and operated an industrial catering service overseeing many businesses throughout the Greater Danbury Area. He retired from the food service industry in 1977. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church in Danbury as well as a member of the Catholic War Veterans and American Legion.

Ross is survived by his wife, Christine A. (Newton) Ross; children, Michael F. Ross Jr. (Jana) of Calif., Cathleen A. Horn (Rey) of Danbury, Stephen A. Ross (Jill) of New Milford; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Frank C. Ross Jr.; sisters, Rose Marie Ross and Rita Finaldi; sister-in-law, Betty Jane Ross; many nieces, nephews; and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Joseph and John; and sisters, Florence Ross and Cecelia Colombatto.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11 at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bethel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ross's name to St. Joseph Parish, 8 Robinson Ave., Danbury, CT 06810.
