31-Year-Old Surrenders To Greenwich Police In Connection With Heroin Overdose

A 31-year-old man was arrested for allegedly selling drugs to a person who later overdosed on heroin.

Parker Ross of Riverside turned himself in to Greenwich Police after being notified of an active warrant for his arrest in connection with the event that took place on Saturday, Oct. 20, said Greenwich Police.

Greenwich police and EMS personnel responded to a home in Riverside on the report of a possible heroin overdose. The patient was transported to Greenwich Hospital for treatment, police said.

A follow-up investigation found that Ross provided crack and heroin to the victim and helped the person ingest the heroin via intravenous injection, police said. 

Ross was charged with reckless endangerment, assault, the sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics,  possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

He is being held on $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 7.
