DANBURY, Conn. -- A 70-year-old Danbury grandmother said she was "scared to death" when two masked crooks broke into her home, assaulted her, tied her up and shot her grandson in the leg on Saturday, Nov. 29, according to newstimes.com.
Maryann Taylor, a retired nurses aide, said the two men kicked open the front door and tore her home apart before fleeing with cash and other small items, newstimes.com said.
The armed robbers tied Taylor up after knocking her to the floor. They then dragged her grandson, Terrence Little, 25, upstairs and shot him in the leg before tying him up as well, newstimes.com reported.
The two were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Taylor was released while Little was admitted to recover from the gunshot wound, newstimes.com said.
