Daryl Mourning, 23, and Jahun Danzy, 18, were charged with third-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny, criminal mischief, third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. Each was held on $25,000 bond.

At about 2 p.m. Monday a civilian employee of IXP at the police station saw Mourning and Danzy enter the police station lobby from the Main Street entrance, police said.

They were then seen exiting through the parking deck side of the lobby, police said. The witness saw Mourning get into a vehicle parked on the upper deck as Danzy stood outside, kicking the vehicle, according to police. Mourning was then seen tampering with the console area of the vehicle, police said.

Dispatch was notified of what was happening and responded. Officers determined that the vehicle belonged to another employee of IXP, a company that handles communications for the city's emergency services, police said.

Police said that the vehicle had been damaged and property belonging to the car's owner was found in Danzy's possession. The two were then taken into custody.
