Danbury Police Charge Teen With Murder In Stabbing Death

DANBURY, Conn. - A 17-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday night and charged with murder in connection with a fight late Saturday that resulted in the stabbing death of a 19-year-old man, Danbury police said.

The teen, identified as Emanuel Von Harris, of Danbury, was charged with murder and first-degree assault after the large fight at Wooster Street and Grand Street at 11:52 p.m. Saturday Dec. 7, sent two to the hospital, police said. One of them, 19-year-old Luan Pitol of Danbury, died as a result of several stabbing injuries, police said. The injuries to the other victim, a 20-year-old man, were called non-life-threatening by police. 

Harris was taken to Bridgeport Juvenile Detention, where he was being held. No court or bond information was released by Danbury police.

This was the second homicide reported in Danbury this year. In October, Christian Williams, 25, was charged with manslaughter in the beating death of his 19-month-old son.
