A knife-wielding woman who allegedly robbed a Danbury gas station was nabbed through video surveillance, police said.
Elizabeth Saparato, 30, of Danbury, was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the armed robbery that took place around 7:47 p.m. July 4th at the Exxon gas station on North Main Street, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams.
Responding officers learned that a white female had entered the business armed with a knife and robbed the store clerk of an undisclosed amount of cash.
The woman fled prior to officers arriving and avoided apprehension, however, investigators were able to identify Saparato through video surveillance, said Williams.
Officers obtained a warrant and arrested Saparato at her home where she was charged with robbery, unlawful restraint and larceny.
She is being held on $50,000 bond.
