Know This Car? Suspect At Large After 16-Year-Old Shot While Playing Basketball

Police are searching for a vehicle involved in the shooting of a 16-year-old teen who was shot once while playing basketball.

The incident took around 7 p.m. Tuesday on Woodend Road in Stratford when the teen was hit by a bullet in what appears to be a drive-by shooting, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. 

The lone shooting victim was shot by someone in what appears to be a silver car, possibly a Honda, with a distinctive black front bumper, Eannotti said.

The shooter and vehicle fled south on Woodend Road after the incident, he added.

The boy was transported to Bridgeport Hospital and is in good condition, Eannotti said.
