Suspicious Death Of 36-Year-Old Woman In Stamford Under Investigation

Stamford police are investigating the suspicious death of a 36-year-old woman and have arrested a man for withholding medical treatment.

Hector Lopez, 42, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the woman’s death at the Southwood Square apartment complex, Stamford Police said.

The identity of the female is not being released pending notification of next of kin, police added.

The department's Major Crimes Unit is conducting the investigation and the state's Chief Medical Examiner is performing an autopsy on Wednesday.

Lopez is currently in the custody of the Stamford Police Department.
