Woman Used Pry Bar To Break Into Business, Steal From Cash Box, Police Say

A woman with a warrant out for her arrest is behind bars after she allegedly used a pry bar to break into a Connecticut business and robbed it, taking elaborate steps to cover up her actions, police said.

Investigators from the Milford Police Department took area resident Lily O’Donnell, 26, into custody on Wednesday, Oct. 3, in regards to an active warrant that was issued for her arrest.

According to police, O’Donnell allegedly used the pry bar to break into a Cherry Street business on July 20, disabled the surveillance equipment and stole the contents of the business’ cash box and files. 

Further investigation into O’Donnell found that she had an active warrant for failing to appear in court on Aug. 29, dating back to a possession of marijuana arrest in New Haven on June 21.

O’Donnell was arrested by police and charged with larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny, conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit burglary and failure to appear in court. 

Following her arraignment, she was held by police in lieu of $25,000 bond. O’Donnell is scheduled to appear in Milford Court on Thursday to answer the charges.
