Danbury Community Activist Ken Gucker Runs For Senate Seat

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury community activist Ken Gucker is running to replace Republican Michael McLachlan for the 24th state Senate seat and is seeking the Democratic Town Committee's nomination, according to WLAD.com.

The seat covers Danbury, Sherman, New Fairfield and the Stony Hill section of Bethel. Gucker, a small-business owner and vice chairman of the Danbury Democratic Town Committee, has lived in Danbury for 28 years, said WLAD.com.

Issues he is championing include the effort to preserve the McLean House and to stop an effort to allow variances for new business uses in the Long Ridge neighborhood, added WLAD.com.
