Danbury's Arconti Named Deputy Majority Leader In State House

DANBURY, Conn. — State Rep. David Arconti (D-Danbury) has been named Deputy Majority Leader for the 2017 legislative session.

“Rep. Arconti is a committed, hardworking legislator with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with his colleagues,” Speaker of the House Joe Aresimowicz (D-Berlin/Southington), who named Arconti to the post, said in a statement. “David’s new leadership role is well earned, and I look forward to working together to help move Connecticut forward.”

Arconti will also serve on the General Law, Public Safety, Environment and the Energy & Technology committees.

“I am grateful to Speaker Aresimowicz for giving me the opportunity to serve in this new leadership capacity,” said Arconti, who started his third legislative term “Serving my constituents well and representing the best interests of Connecticut families are my top priorities as I continue to work on their behalf.”
