"DHS 2020" would include a 110,000-square-foot freshman academy, as well as a new gymnasium and locker room. The spending plan also calls for a new lobby, school store space and a new visual and performing arts center that would replace the current automobile shop, newstimes.com reported.
Boughton also said he plans on asking the city to purchase downtown street lamps with the intention of converting them to LED in an effort to save money and wants to provide free Wi-Fi for CityCenter, newstimes.com said.
