King will be visiting Putnam Valley Elementary School to observe and recognize the school's work on Common Core, and will meet other school and district administrators at the school.
School Principal Margaret Podesta invited King as a way to acknowledge the commitment of the school's staff to raising student expectations and achievement.
Plans are for King to visit classrooms and meet with teachers as well.
