Coach Casey Bock described Cameron Snow, a junior, as someone who works hard, is dedicated and is talented.

"I am able to witness Cameron become a young adult that is a role model for younger kids. He is one of my 5- and 6-year-olds' favorite players," said Bock.

Cameron has a "great, strong family" behind him, he added.

To date, $9,340 has been raised through the GoFundMe.

"Thankfully, everyone is doing well, but everything was lost due to smoke damage," Bock said. "It is now time for the Hatter/Danbury community to support the Snow family during this tough time."

A family member thanked supporters on the website. "The sense of security my parents have built is the heartbreak. It will be restored, they are our family's foundation. Together we will heal."
