With the flag flying at half-staff, Head of School Matt Byrnes encouraged students, faculty and staff to “be thoughtful” and to “listen to others” in an effort to honor the lives lost and to foster a community of open-mindedness, according to a press release.
The Rev. Mark Lingle led everyone in prayer and a moment of silence, which was followed by a performance of Pachabel Cannon in D by the chamber ensemble.
First responders from Danbury, including Wooster student Max Levine, were on hand. As the service concluded, several students and faculty members stopped to personally thank them for their service, according to a press release.
Wooster School is an independent, co-educational college preparatory day school, serving students from grades pre-K through 12.
