The community college intends to lease a building owned by Joseph DaSilva Jr. at Main and West streets that has more than 20,000 square feet of space, according to a statement from school President Daisy Cocco De Filippis.
The expansion will allow a substantial increase in both enrollment and the number and type of classes offered in Danbury by Naugatuck Valley Community College, which has it main campus in Waterbury.
Occupancy in the building is expected by next summer , with classes set to start in the new space by the fall of next year.
