'Fun-Loving' Wife Of North Shore Chef Unexpectedly Dies
A restaurant family on the North Shore is mourning the death of one of their own.
Amanda Dixey, whose husband Tom Dixey is a chef at The Lobster Shanty in Salem, died unexpectedly after a "brief illness" on Sunday morning, Jan. 29, according to a GoFundMe.
"Amanda was one of the most fun-loving people around with a sharp, witty sense of humor," the campaign reads. "Amanda and Tom had a magical romance and her family are heartbroken."

Decorated Stoughton Police Officer Known For His 'Dedication' Suddenly Dies
The Stoughton Police Department is mourning the sudden death of one of their brothers in blue, Chief Donna McNamara announced.
Christopher Davis, age 42, died while off-duty while at his Brockton home around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, McNamara said. Davis was a 17-year-old veteran with the department.
