The girls — Sarina Gersten, 18, Lexi Lucas, 18, and Alasandra Primavera, 17 — created a boutique and scholarship program for teens who receive help at Family & Children's Aid in Danbury. Nonprofit Seeks Volunteer Puppy Raisers In Danbury PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- A local nonprofit that trains specially selected rescue dogs to work as service animals is seeking volunteer trainers willing to help raise and train a black labrador mix puppy. Putnam Service Dogs, a recognized 501(c)3, looks for rescue animals with the proper temperament and then takes the time to train the dogs as service animals, according to the nonprofit's website.
