State Police Investigating Carjacking At I-95 Rest Stop
Connecticut State Police are investigating an alleged carjacking at an I-95 rest stop. The incident took in New Haven County around 5:40 a.m., Wednesday, March 27 at the northbound rest stop, state police said. A preliminary report indicates that there were no injuries and an investigation is underway. Police did not release the make of the car or how many people were involved. This is a developing story. Worker Critically Injured In Shelton
A worker who was critically injured and stuck 40 feet up a tree was rescued by members of a Fairfield County fire department. The incident occurred in Shelton around 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 26 on Meghan Court. According to the fire department, Shelton firefighters arrived on the scene and found the worker stuck 40 feet up a tree. Members attempted to reach the man using ground ladders but were unsuccessful, the department said. Police in Connecticut are investigating after a series of smash-and-grab robberies occurred within a few days. The latest incident occurred in North Haven on Sunday, March 24 at the Mobil Gas Station on State Street. Everyone walked away unscathed after a wrong-way highway driver collided with a Connecticut State Police vehicle. A Fairfield County man has been charged with allegedly driving under the influence after running into the back of another car. The incidents occurred in Windham County on Monday, March 25 at several locations in the town of Putnam. A man has been arrested after authorities said he was caught planning to traffic a teen girl for money in Connecticut. Police in Fairfield County are investigating after two suspects allegedly drove a car through a business and made off with merchandise before fleeing.
